What is a Nakshatra?

Nakshatra is an asterism or a pattern of stars with some rich symbols. As per Vedic astrology, a Nakshatra is a smaller division of zodiac than a zodiac sign. A Nakshatra is slightly smaller than half of the zodiac sign. One Rashi equals 2.25 Nakshatra.

Nakshatras are the twenty-seven divisions of the night sky or zodiac. Each nakshatra has its unique characteristics and influence on human beings.

It is believed that Nakshatras are the most important factors in determining oneโ€™s destiny. Astrologers believe that each Nakshatra has its unique traits and impact on our lives.
