"One born in Kemadruma Yog, though born in a princely race, becomes obscure, inmically disposed, miserable, reproached and bereft of intelligence and learning.
Given to base ways and wickedly inclined, one falls from his religion. One is reduced to penury and perils, drudging as a menial and wandering, as well as being deprived of livelihood, wife, children, residence, clothes, friends, food and drinks. The native will suffer extreme difficulties, sickness and filthiness."

Definition
"If with the Moon or in the 2nd and 12th house from the Moon and in a angle from the Ascendant there are no planets except the Sun, the Yog formed is called Kemadruma.
The native born with this Yog will be very much disgraced, be devoid of intelligene and learning, and subject to penury and calamities."
Explanation
Kemadruma Yog being considered one of the most horrifying Yog or Dosha for any Birth chart, is certainly true. But something which should be understood by readers or beginners is, the very extremities in fortune whether it may be good or bad are rare cases. Just as everyone is not born with an extreme fortune for wealth, so is the case with Kemdruma Yog.
From the extended definition given in Brihat Parasara Hora, a vitally important qualifier comes out, which is more often missed in the definition which defines Kemadruma Yog just as Moon having no planets with her (in conjunction) and on the either side of her (2nd and 12th house).
That addition says, except the Sun there should be planets in the angle houses from the Birth Lagna, which implies that if Moon itself is in an angle house, then there is no Kemadruma Yog. This greatly reduces the number of Birth chart in which this condition of the Moon can be found.

- If Moon is configured in other highly favourable lunar yogas like Chandra Adhi Yog, Gaja Kesari Yog, Mukuta Yog, Gauri Yog etc.
Some yogas in astrology which requires to be judged very precisely are the toughest for anyone, from beginners to savant, to qualifies in any Birth chart, and Kemadruma Yog falls into this category.
