Mukuta Yog

Mukuta Yog is when Jupiter is in 6th or 8th house from Moon in its own or exaltation sign.

Definition

“When Jupiter falling in the 6th or 8th house from Moon is in its Own or Exaltation sign, it give Mukuta Yog.”

Mukuta means crown and this Yog belongs to the category of favourable yogas, one which give auspicious results, involving the two best friend Jupiter and Moon.

As the name says, person having this Yog in kundli/birthchart can wear the crown. It is a metaphorical language which says a person may be awarded and honoured, and might achieve great renown and a high position in their field of endeavour.

It is very unconventional to see Jupiter in 6th and 8th from Moon giving a favourable Yog. Since Jupiter in 6th, 8th or 12th from Moon can also form an unfavourable Sakata Yog, which give fluctuating fortune. Whereas other favourable Jupiter-Moon yogas demands conditions like Jupiter in an angles from Moon (Gaja Kesari Yog) or Jupiter aspecting Moon (Gauri Yog).

But the main emphasis here is Jupiter from its Own or Exaltation sign (a very strong and capable Jupiter) will aspect 5th, 7th and 9th house from itself. And Moon will be falling in 6th or 8th house. So directly Moon will not be receiving any aspects of Jupiter, but will have aspect of Jupiter on signs/houses on both the sides of Moon. This will shield Moon by Jupiters aspect on both the adjacent houses. But as the definition goes, only Jupiter in Own or Exaltation might be capable of bringings this favourable results or else it might cause Sakata yog to some degrees.
