Carama Yog

Lagna lord in his exaltation sign in an angle house and aspected by Jupiter gives Chamara Yog.

Camara refers to a whisk-like fan made from the tail of a yak, a large domesticated ox. In ancient times it was an insignia of royalty and high-status. The influential Kings and Emperors, use to have servants holding camara in their service on either sides of throne.

The Parasara Hora informs about this Yog and defines its formation in two ways :

or
this yog will be formed when two benefics have gone in the Ascendant, 9th, 10th or 7th house.”

Description

“The person born in Camara Yog will be a king or be honoured by the king, be long-lived, scholarly, eloquent and well versed in the arts.”

The Lagna lord in an angle along with being in his exaltation sign makes it very powerful in any sense. In addition this conditions will give one of the Pancha Mahapurusa Yogas,

  1. Ruchaka Yog in the case of Aries ascendent
  2. Bhadra Yog in the case of Gemini and
  3. Sasa Yog in the case of Capricorn

Plus the additional aspect of Jupiter as the best benefit is a very favourable enhancement to this exalted Lagna lord factor.

Decoding of Camara Yog by 2nd definition :

Two benefics in Ascendent improves the condition of ascendent, even if the ascendent lord is weakly placed in Birth chart, and same are the results when this two benefic goes in 7th house, as they aspect Ascendent from 7th.

The 9th (trikone) and 10th (kendra) house being the strongest of trikone and kendra houses respectively. The benefics being there is again a great enhancement to the chart’s overall favourability. Note that 9th house is also known as Dharma house and 10th Karma house.
