Definition
“The Adhama, Sama and Varistha Yogas are formed when the Moon is respectively in an angle, a panaphara or an apoklima house reckoned from the Sun.”
Description
“Accordingly, as the yog at birth is Kashta or Adhama, Madhyama or Sama, Vara or Varistha, the wealth, modes of conveyances, reputation, joy, wisdom, intellectual power, modesty, talent, learning, generosity and pleasure of the native will be at the lowest, middling or highest respectively.”
Explanation
As per the description and definition given above which is an collective extract from many classical Jyotisha texts like Phaladipika, the different fruits which one can beget with the respective position of Moon from Sun is as below :
- The Moon falling in the 3rd, 6th, 9th or 12th house from the Sun would be best.
- The Moon falling in the 2nd, 5th 8th and 11th would be mediocre.
- The Moon falling in the 1st, 4th, 7th to 10th from the Sun would be the least favourable.
This is very hard at the digestion of someones understanding about vedic astrology that how can a simple Moon to Sun relationship can signify wealth, talent and intelligence etc. for a person. In almost many of the popular charts available to researchers and readers of astrology, this conditions may not fulfil results described. There are many yogas in Jyotisha which tends to deviate from there originally described results.
A simple reason behind this which makes even all this contradictories come together and transcend further is the truth that vedic astrology or Jyotisha is not mere a subject of facts, calculations, rules and logics. It is Greater than those simple sciences. If readers know, Jyotisha is one of the Vedanga - meaning body parts of Veda (pronounced as Ved). And Jyotisha is consider EYES of Veda. Essentially eyes of your knowledge - how your knowledge enables you to see this world or simply any other piece of knowledge. Vedic astrology is tricky so many times, it asks astrologers to see beyond just WORDS. The case of this Yogas is similar, readers and researchers need to see these yogas from different prospective. For example this yogas may qualify other significant features of birth chart or any other underlying support they can provide to other favourable or unfavourable conditions of chart.
