The most auspicious of Dhana yogas are formed by the lords of the trine houses. The lord of the any trine in that same trine house or in another trine houses is very auspicious from the prospective of wealth and fortune. These trine lords (lords of 1st, 5th, 9th) when join together in good houses (angle or trine houses) gives very clear indications that native will acquire some sort of wealth during the period or the sub-period of the lords or planets connected to them. Below are the verses from Dhana yogas in Brihat Parasara Hora. Read them slowly and repeatedly to learn the essence of Jyotisha from them.
Brihat Parasara Hora Shastra
verse 1.
“If in his own sign Leo the Sun occupies the Ascendent and has the conjunction of Mars and Jupiter there or he(Sun) is aspected by them, the native will be endowed with wealth.”
verse 2.
“If in the Cancer Ascendent the Moon occupies the Ascendent and she is in conjunction with or aspected by Mercury and Jupiter, the native will be wealthy.”
verse 3.
“If Mars is in the Ascendent in his own sign and he is in conjunction with or is aspected by Mercury, Venus and Saturn, the native will be very rich.”
verse 4.
“If Mercury is in the Ascendent in his own sign and he is in conjunction with or is aspected by Saturn and Jupiter, the native will be endowed with wealth.”
verse 5.
“If Jupiter is in the Ascendent in his own sign and he is in conjunction with or is aspected by Mercury and Mars, the native will be wealthy.”
verse 6.
“If Venus is in the Ascendent in her own sign and she is in conjunction with or is aspected by Saturn and Mercury, the native will be wealthy.”

“If Saturn is in the Ascendent in his own sign and he is in conjunction with or is aspected by Mars and Jupiter, the native will be endowed with wealth.”

- In 1st verse, Sun is Lagna lord (1st trine lord), Jupiter is 5th lord and Mars is 9th lord. All conjunct together in 1st house can give immense amount of wealth for Leo ascendent (due to the wealth giving abilities of trine lord, more ), similar will be the results for Aries and Sagittarius ascendents (unless any planet gets combust) because all the planets are in friendly to each other. This rule works for other ascendents too, just the magnitude of effect varies.
- For Cancer Ascendent in 2nd verse, Moon in 1st with Jupiter and Mercury, is placed in own sign and forms a powerful Gaja Kesari Yog with 9th lord Jupiter. In 1st house Jupiter and Mercury are very strong, getting directional strength.
- In case only two trine lords join together in Ascendent or mutually aspects each other and this said combination is under the influence of a strong benefic will again make native very wealthy.
- For Venus Ascendents, Venus together with or in mutual aspect with Saturn causes very powerful Dhana Yogas and Raja Yogas, since Saturn is the Yogakaraka planet for Ascendents of Venus. See concept of yogakaraka here.
